Hekim Portal adapts the LinkedIn concept to the unique requirements of the dental sector, enabling clinics to find the right dentist and dentists to discover career opportunities in a single mobile application.

Project Summary

In Turkey, the process of finding a job and forming a team in the dentistry sector still largely relies on personal connections, social media groups, and scattered job boards. Clinics struggle to find dentists with the right profile, while new graduates or job-seeking dentists cannot access suitable opportunities.

Hekim Portal was designed to fill this gap: a professional network tailored to the dental industry, with filtering options based on specialized terminology, areas of expertise, and clinic needs. Dentists create profiles that best reflect their skills, and clinics find team members based on specific criteria.

Development Approach

While developing Hekim Portal, the goal was to provide a mobile-first professional network experience. Unlike platforms that originated from the web and were adapted for mobile, Hekim Portal was designed from scratch for mobile devices — every interaction was optimized for use with fingertips.

React Native was chosen to quickly develop for both platforms with limited resources and to deliver value to all users from a single codebase in future feature developments. Native modules (camera, push notification, biometric authentication) were utilized from React Native's mature ecosystem.

On the UX side, special attention was paid to the dental sector's language and visual expectations: a design language was created that maintains a medical formal tone while providing a modern digital product feel.
